- Wash the chikoo thoroughly with plain water.
- Peel the chikoo and cut it into small pieces.

- Buy a fully riped large size chikoo. Taste the fruit first, if it is drying your mouth then avoid giving it to the baby. Because it is unripened fruit.
- The consistency of the chikoo puree is soft enough to swallow, therefore, can be given at any age of the baby.
- Chikoo puree does not get oxidized. Therefore, can carry it in an airtight container when going on a short trip.
