Banana Puree for Babies/ How to Mash Bananas for Babies

Ingredients
- Ripe Banana – ¼ part
- Black Cardamom (powdered) – a small pinch
How to Make
- Wash the banana thoroughly with plain water.
- Peel the banana and cut it into small pieces.
- Mash the required quantity of it with the help of a spoon.
- Now sprinkle the cardamom to the mashed banana.
- Mix it well and the banana puree is ready to serve.
Useful Tips
- Do taste the recipe so prepared before feeding it to the baby.
- It is good to start with a small piece of banana. Too much consumption of it results in constipation.
- The consistency of the banana puree is soft enough to chew with gums and swallow, therefore, can be given at any age of the baby.
- Banana puree gets oxidized quickly. Therefore, do not leave it over and preferably prepare the recipe at the time of feeding.
- Take precaution while introducing banana to your baby. If your baby vomits out the banana or going for motions several times are the signs that his/her digestion is not strong enough to eat the banana. Therefore, it is recommended to feed the banana at a later age.
